"...Our Ismaili tradition...has always accepted the spirit of pluralism among schools of interpretation of the faith, and seen this...as a true reflection of divine plenitude...Through your studies you have known the many Qur’anic verses and hadiths of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that acknowledge and extol the value of diversity within human societies." - Prince Rahim Aga Khan, London, September 2007.

To Fayaz and other interested readers:

A high quality print may be ordered from the National Portrait Gallery in London. I have one in my collection that is appx. 16" x 11", and not as pricy as one might think.

You may write to Melissa Atkinson at matkinson@npg.org.uk - she should be able to guide you about the latest pricing and how to order.

A remarkable portrait - connects you, somehow, to the late Imam in a very intimate manner. The (reflective) smile, the pose somehow relaxed me - and I am not even on vacation! Absolutely Superb.

I enjoyed this article as it gave a rare glimpse into the warm relationships shared by a member of Imam's family. In recent times, there are no incidences I know of, where a family member has a direct message to the jamat. It was nice to see the love that Prince Sadruddin and jamat shared. I also found it remarkable that on the centenary of Imam Sultan Muhammad Shah, Prince Sadruddin and his wife chose to be with the local jamat in New York. It speaks of the warmth and affection of the Noorani family with the jamat.
