I would rather appropriately and fairly describe it as <em>"economically, socially and educationally marginalized"</em>. Far from being decadent, the community then was cohesively strong in its social, cultural and religious traditions. Indeed, an impressive and well written article, except for one comment that the use of a “decadent” community in the time of Imam Sultan Mohamed Shah, is an incorrect and unfair description of Ismaili community then.
