I would rather appropriately and fairly describe it as “economically, socially and educationally marginalized”. Far from being decadent, the community then was cohesively strong in its social, cultural and religious traditions.

The presence of a Living Guide for generations, with our present Imam being the 49th Imam, has resulted in our credibility as an important community in the world, not just of Islam, but the whole world today.

Your series shows the role of Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah and His contribution to this. I was fortunate enough to have lived at least part of my formative years of my life through this era. Many many thanks to you and your most illustrious website.
