  1. I was completely fascinated to read this and see the photos as my daughter will be working with the Kanga Project in Ilongero 20 miles from Singida. She starts there next week (10th October 2011) and we had been trying to find information on Singida as the regional town. A wonderfully vivid piece of writing which carried all kinds of added nostalgia for me as I was brought up in Kenya until I was 18 as my dad too was a teacher. I shall be visiting Nairobi and my childhood home in December courtesy of Jess being in East Africa. Thank you Mohezin Tejani for reminding me about homecomings.
