  1. The write-up is a thoughtful and well-researched piece that not only highlights the significance of the title Diwan in Islamic and Ismaili history, but also honors Dr. Shafik Sachedina’s decades of dedicated service with clarity and respect. The contextualization of the title within both historical Islamic governance and the modern Ismaili tradition is particularly insightful.

  2. Thank you very much Alnoor for your writeup. History and explanation about the the Diwan is good education for our community and public in general. It is also important to document these important events.

Persons like Sir Eboo and Shafiq Sachedina are special people. They really donated their adult lives for the Imams and the Ismaili community.

I take this opportunity to express my Mumbarakis to Diwan Shafik and his family.

  3. Thank you Alnoor for your enlightening piece on the genesis of the title Diwan. You have indeed provided a historical perspective, in addition to modern times when Mawlana Sultan Mahomed Shah bestowed the the title of Diwan on two distinguished individuals for their selfless sevice to the House of Imamat
