Passings: Honouring Lives Lived – A New Simerg Initiative by Malik Merchant

PASSINGS

Beginning September 15, 2012, Simerg started offering to all its Ismaili readers around the world an opportunity to submit memorials to honour and celebrate the lives of beloved members of their families who have physically departed this world. The memorials may be submitted in the form of (1) a simple short notice or (2) a tribute of up to 500 words for anyone who has passed away recently or since 1950. Please read more about this initiative by clicking on the image below.

  1. Dear Son Malik: Ya ‘Aliy (Allah) Madad and Greetings of Sabur (Patience) and Salam (Peace)

First and foremost, thank you for all of your dedicated work which you are doing for the community in making various works available for the future progeny.

Secondly, thank you for initiating this particular memorial column for all those who are “passing on” or have passed on.

Thirdly, continue the great work which both of your parents did for our community. Earlier this year, we met your mother in Vancouver during a Saturday session. We also used to know your dad too, during our stay in Tanzania.

Fourthly, we wish you and your family a very Happy Idd ul Fitr. Please, take care.

We remain, yours sincerely, Nurjehan & Mansurali, two transient wayfarers on this journey of life.
