How we remember that fateful day 11 July 1957 when our beloved imam Sultan Mohamed Shah passed away to Allah’s rehmat. The news swept through Kampala’s Ismailis faster than on the internet and we all congregated at the jamatkhana to pray and hear the news of who our 49th Imam was going to be. The news came on the 13th. Sadness was dispelled by instant joy.
