Editor’s note: In the aftermath of the knife attack at the Ismaili Centre in Lisbon that killed Farana Sadrudin and Mariana Jadaugy, condolences have been expressed to the families of the victims privately, in public statements or through the media. One such expression was received by Simerg from Paris based Moez Nato in response to our report on the funeral of Farana Sadrudin that took place in Lisbon on Friday, March 31, 2023. We publish Nato’s expression of sympathy that we feel is representative of how hundreds of thousands of members of the Ismaili community in Portugal and around the world feel about the tragedy that has taken place. Pirani Zahra: May the souls of both the beautiful angels cherish and grow under the merciful shelter of our Mawla and rest in eternal peace. May our Mowla hold their clean souls and let them cross the path from this world to the Eternal world. Ameen. 🙏✨
Amin Pirbhai: REST IN ETERNAL PEACE 🤲 AAMEEN
It is a very sad situation. A person who with his family was brought out of a country to protect them from violence, ended up creating a violent act in his new country in the west resulting in a loss of 2 persons and injuring one. Things can be dealt with without violence and not with anger.
The whole of Ismaili community is shocked and is feeling helpless
and for the families a great loss For the departed we pray that their souls rest in peace.
May the souls of the Ruhani rest in eternal peace. Ameen.
Really, this is very painful. May their souls rest in peace.
We are deeply saddened after we heard the sad news. We pray for the souls of the deceased and for the family, and that may Mawlana Hazar Imam give them strength to face this deep loss.
Mental illness is a major concern of the 21st-century, and we should become more aware of this situation especially in situations of providing service to others — every aspect of the security of our dedicated volunteers as well as our Jamati members has to be looked into and we have to become more vigilant and be able to act in a protective manner.
We pray for the world wide Jamat and join our hands in prayers that may Mawla keep us as one united Jamat around the world. We pray for the eternal peace of the souls of our sister victims. Aameen 🤲🤲.
